Semi-rigid Thumb Spica portion is contoured to provide intimate support, immobilization and thumb abduction. The unique design of the foam spica protects the thumb from impact or shock without any uncomfortable binding or stitch seams. PRODUCT FEATURES: • Made of a light, breathable foam material • Comfortable, no seams or pressure points around the MCP joint • Metal support stays limit flexion and extension • Semi-rigid thumb spica portion HOW TO APPLY: Unfasten closures. Pull brace over hand ensuring wide stay is on palm side of hand and the semirigid spica runs parallel to the thumb. The molded portion of the spica should fit around the base of the thumb. Using free hand, close the loop lock straps starting at the bottom. Close the top strap around the thumb. Readjust if necessary. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Fasten closures. Hand wash in cold water with mild soap. Wrap in a towel to remove excess water (do not twist or wring). Air dry away from heat. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach.
