Knee immobilizers support and stabilize the knee with an added cushioning to protect knee from impact of outside forces that could cause re-injury or harm to the healing area. It's an ideal orthopedic solution for acute knee injuries and offers an alternative to casting. Knee splints are commonly used for post-operative immobilization of the knee joint, grade 1 and grade 2 collateral ligament sprains and patellar subluxations. Dual medial/lateral stays are fully adjustable. The malleable stays are encased in a soft fabric and attach to splint with a contact closure fastener/ hook-and-loop backing for easy relocation enabling the user to adjust the form of the stay and ensure proper positioning of the splint.
