The Hook & Loop closures and adjustments provide customizable support with greater comfort. There is a metal stay in the palm that holds the wrist in the “cock-up”position. The palmer stay is bent at a recommended 30° angle which is believed to help open the carpal tunnel and thus reduce pressure on the carpal nerve. Cock-up wrist splints are recommended by health care professionals for carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, wrist sprains, post-casting, postoperative, protection during activity, wrist instability, and support for sore wrists, and more.
