For example, a size 28cm carbon prosthetic foot will not measure 28cm in length. It doesn’t suppose to. It will measure 28cm when it is put into the correct shell. The size of the foot is considering the extra the extra length the foot shell will provide. This is true for all prosthetic feet. Prosthetic feet are sized according to the length of the correct intended footshell (rubber shell). The footshell will be longer than the foot. carbon foot can vary in length depending on the manufacture and style of foot. Some manufacture’s carbon feet are longer and shorter than others. All the footshells will measure the same but can be different internally to correctly feet the carbon foot. If you cannot understand this simple concept then simple don’t buy the item. The carbon foot is 100% a size 26. Meaning with the correct 26cm footshell with the carbon foot will correctly work together and the combined length with be 26cm. THIS IS HOW PROSTHETIC FEET ARE SIZED. EXAMPLE, an ossur 25cm low profile vari-flex carbon foot will measure closer to 25cm than a size 25 blatchford elite prosthetic carbon foot. They are both considered size 25. When both feet are used with the correct footshells they will externally measure 25cm. An ossur footshell is different than a blatchford footshell.
