Application: Grasp top of support (largest end) and loosen straps. After determining side of kneecap (patella) that requires support, position buttress on affected side and slide sleeve over knee. (Note: buttress may be removed and placed on opposite side.) Make sure seam is placed posteriorly in back of leg and hinges or spiral stays are placed medial/lateral on leg. Your kneecap (patella)should be centered in the circular opening with buttress placed on rim of the kneecap (patella). Grasp both small straps above and below kneecap by hook tip and pull back onto loop portion of strap. Adjust small straps to desired tension or comfort level. Starting with large strap nearest foot, secure strap thru buckle and tighten to desired comfort level. Secure remaining strap in same manner. Cleaning & Care: Remove any metal stays if possible, close all contact closures and hand wash in warm water with mild soap. Product should be air-dried, do not use high temperatures to wash or dry. Grasp the edge of the wider portion of the sleeve, keeping the seam positioned to posterior of leg. Insert foot into sleeve and pull onto leg. Position the sleeve so that stays or hinges are parallel to each other on the side of leg, and the top of the front cut out aligns with the top of the kneecap (patella) and rear cut out is centered in the back of the knee (popliteal) as required. Sleeve should sit on leg with approximately 6″ of material above mid kneecap (patella). Fasten the support straps at the thigh and calf as required for comfortable fit without inhibiting circulation.
